The mission of the San Quentin T.R.U.S.T. for the Development of Incarcerated Men is to motivate, educate, prepare and assist men in prison in becoming vibrant, functional and community-oriented, and becoming assets to themselves, their families and their communities. The T.R.U.S.T. builds bridges between the inside and outside communities, to facilitate the successful re-entry of our graduates. Upon parole, our mission is to send men home with a sense of respect and responsibility to rebuild the communities they return to. By rebuilding our communities, we ultimately aim to decrease crime and recidivism, and ultimately improve public safety and the quality of life in California and elsewhere.
The T.R.U.S.T. works toward these goals by teaching a year-long, three-part curriculum to the mainline population of inmates in San Quentin. This curriculum is taught in a series of weekly workshops on Thursday afternoons.
